The Fear of the Lord.
All throughout the scriptures the fear of the Lord is mentioned. The fear of the Lord constitutes different meanings for those who believe and trust in Him, and the unbelievers or those who have rejected Him.
What is the Fear of the Lord?
The fear of ear of the Lord is the awareness that you are in the presence of a Holy, just and Almighty God who sees and knows everything. Those who fear the Lord has a deep reverence for Him and a desire to obey Him and His commandments.
It gives Wisdom and Understanding: (Proverbs 1:7, 2:5, 9:10, 15:33, Psalm 111:10, Job 28:28)
- The fear of the Lord is Wisdom, and to depart from sin is understanding - but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Prolongs your life: (Deut. 6:2, Proverbs 10:27)
- The fear of the LORD prolongs days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened
Preserves you: (Deut. 6:24)
- And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
Teaches us to walk in His ways: (2 Chronicles 6:31,)

- The angel of the LORD encamps round about them that fear him, and delivers them.

- But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;
